I had that day.
It was last week.
Now it's this week.
And now, I'm going to do what my mom and dad taught me to do at times like these.
Get up and fight like a girl.
For any woman battling anything right now - small or big - I know you are there - Hold your head high. Everytime I hear the chorus of this song, I do it. I straighten my head a little. Sit a little higher. Have a little more faith.
No more looking down. Look straight forward, straight ahead, no looking back, and we can conquer (that's my favorite word) what we are meant to conquer.
I'll hold my head high
I'll never let this define
The light in my eyes
Love myself, give it hell
I'll take on this world
If I stand and be strong
No, I'll never give up
I will conquer with love
and I'll fight like a GIRL!
This entire song reminds me of what I learned at my house growing up, and I will be teaching
the same to my own daughter. My Dad made sure I knew I could do whatever my brothers could do, and my Mom was right there at my side making sure I remembered it always!
As my dear, dear friend (who keeps me together) wrote to me - "We are never alone...let's keep fighting like GIRLS!"
~I can't wait to be able to run to this song.

Thanks for the words of inspiration. Aren't we all struggling with something?

I loved this post because now I feel normal knowing that someone else feels the same way sometimes.
Life is definitely full of ups and downs. But it is our attitude on how we approach it all....dang, I am going to keep fighting like a girl! I love it. Thanks for the reminder. love ya
