we pray for...

Last night Lukie said in his bedtime prayer,
"I'm thankful we could roast marshmallow's and crackers, and I'm thankful Savvy didn't get burned..."

Just so it's clear, we didn't roast crackers. Crackers were not part of the first campfire of the season. He probably meant to say COOKIES, and no, we didn't roast them either. But the roasted marshmallow's went lovely in between two cookies.
Except Luke hated them.

And Carter was terribly sick.
And Savvy was almost burned up by the popping log.

And we couldn't have our guests over because we didn't want them to get sick, and Savvy was so upset, until we had surprise guests show up (Mimi and Papa), then she forgave Carter.

Last night in MY prayer,
I was thankful for:
Luke's prayer,
Four Children,
A Husband and his handsome face,
A Home,
Birds who sing outside my window again,

A Fire-pit, and

The smell of campfire.

I prayed for:
Balance (un-balanced should be my middle name),
Carter to get better,
My leg to be healthy for 3 more weeks until I make it to Ogden,
To understand the BOM better than ever,
That I can remember things I seem to forget,
Dawn's baby will come soon and both will be healthy,

The Strength to make it through another 12 weeks of the 'Get Fit Challenge' with J.P., and
To be more Forgiving (of myself, and others).

Team S & M raised so much money for the cause, that her and her hubby were the lucky ones to cut the starting line ribbon. Greg puts on a huge golf tournament to support his wife and her aunt. They were just the cutest cutters ever!

We are so thankful we have someone like her, to teach us how to battle every day.

We'll walk for her until we can't walk at all.

Because that's what sisters do.

This little lady has been glowing ever since her baptism preview. She just couldn't wait to be baptized! She counted down the days as she read and studied her baptism packet.
We are so proud of our Savvy for making this decision. It was such a special day for our family.
A beautiful blessing for a beautiful girl.

When she was done getting changed, I went to get something and came back to see her here. Apparently she needed lip gloss for her confirmation. And also a little spray of perfume.

I love her!

She did it!

Can I just freeze time?

Can I hold her here forever?

I am so thankful for this toothless smile, for her light.

Happy 8th Bithday Savvy!

This is the bad thing about getting behind on the blog. This party happened two months ago, but I have to go in order. So I will be playing catch up, again.

Savvy asked to get her ears pierced when she was five. I always said I would wait until she asked to get her ears pierced to do it. I wanted it to be her decision and not mine. So when she asked, we got it done.
3 weeks later, she was done.
3 years later, here we go again...

Savannah turned 8 years old. My daughter is eight. My only daughter is not 7 anymore.

She's girlie and more special to me that I can explain at the moment. I look into her eyes and know who I want to be.

A mom that deserves her.

When we talked about what kind of birthday party she wanted to have, she decided on the kick-boxing party. Because no one else had done one of those and because her mom has been on an 'exercise kick' lately. For some reason, she really likes me. I think she made the right decision!

It really was the cutest thing ever!

Little Abby deserves the 'perfect form' award. Totally coordinated, just like her mom.

I made a playlist of all the little girl songs I could think of. I think this was 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun', from Miley, they loved it (and so did I).

The kickboxer's with their 1lb weights, sweat towel, and headbands inside their new "gym bags"!

This is the twin incident. Who do you think won? They were fighting over the fun new Justice toys they got for Savvy.

Here is the difference between a girl party and a boy party. These girls sat like this and ate cake for such a long time. They talked like it was opposite day and laughed forever at themselves. Look at them with their feet up just relaxing. If this was a boy party, they would have eaten standing up shoving it in their faces as fast as they could so that they could run and yell and knock things over.

This was heaven.

Quickly after the friends left, Jer's family arrived. A first bottle of perfume from Sissa. It's was just as good as her first make up kit!

Mimi got Savvy exactly what she wanted. A sewing machine! Hopefully she'll be better than her mom in that department.

Recycled cake for the family party. That's ok, right?

The princess ended her special day with two of her favorite aunts pampering the birthday girl sporting her brand new shades.

Now that's life.

Oh wait, this is the life. We found him here during all the festivities.
