It's amazing how much you can love a family that you didn't grow up with. The Johnson family reunion was last week in Star Valley WY, and I am so proud to have become a part of them when I married Jer and to have my kids come from a long line of such hard working people. We love it when we get to go to the farm and see Grandma Johnson and all the cousins from Star Valley.
This was huge for Savvy, she is afraid of any big furry animal! (including dogs)
This was about 20 minutes in to the staring contest! He did some chatting as well!
He really would not leave!

This is Aunt Kimmy's artistic masterpiece...he wanted a horse and when he saw the picture of himself (he always asks to see the picture) he started crying "not a name, a horse"
Like Father, Like Son's...except Jeremy asked for a knife and fork before he started stuffing his face!

Fear Factor...don't ask!

Because of the above 'stuck' sheep, my poor cricket stomping children started crying (Savvy hysterically) and had to run to find the good farming folk to save the sheep. I really thought Savvy might have a panic attack! She thought it was her fault because it ran into the fence when we walked up, then when the rest of the sheep ran off, it was left alone baaaing like crazy!
Star Valley is one of the most beautiful places I've been, I truly love it up there but I am a city girl and I am soooo thankful to have a Target!

Cute fam. Your kiddo's are getting so big!! I can't believe how time flies. I made my blog private - if you would like to will you send me your email address and I will send you an invite to continue viewing our blog? morgancori77@gmail.com
Forget Buckle. The Johansen's are destined for the Wyoming life. What is Jeremy talking about. I rarely see him with an knife and fork!
P.S. My vote is..."Girl's just want to have fun"
OOOOH Kelly, good choice sista! I am a Sixteen Candles girl, however Better off Dead is a very close second!
Good choices with both Girls Just Want to Have Fun and Sixteen candles...those would be in the top five for me. The other three? In order of preference:
- Breakfast Club
- Ferris Bueller
- St. Elmos Fire
Pretty in Pink has to factor in too, doesn't it?
Anyhow, loved the pics and I could SO beat Jeremy at the watermelon eating...donuts too...and grilled cheese sandwiches. He could beat me at hot dogs...I'll give him that.
Corb -
Pretty in Pink should take the place of your St. Elmos Fire, not that is wasn't good but Pretty in Pink definitely deserves to be higher on a top 5! (I agree, saying top 5 is fun!)
I could SO beat Jer at a watermelon eating contest too, and I'm allergic...what a slacker! Carter was yelling in his face the whole time! I'd like to see the grilled cheese contest, he would give you a run for your money!
Some good suggestions for sure...
'Ferris Bueller' is a classic, and I loved the dancing in 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun.' But how could you forget McDreamy in 'Can't Buy Me Love?'
Tristan,
I completely didn't think about that one. I LOVE that movie! Good job on that one!
Pretty in Pink
Better off Dead
Breakfast Club
Some Kind of Wonderful
She's Having a Baby
That is my top five, however 'Can't Buy Me Love' would in the top 10.
Ok I totally lied...Sixteen Candles is #1 and that means She's Having a Baby would be #6.
What was I thinking!
Totall forgot about Can't Buy Me Love and She's Having a Baby and Some Kind of Wonderful...gotta go with a top 10.
