Savvy is SEVEN!!! Last week was her big day and thanks to her brothers, she woke up to balloons all over her floor. Luke thought that was so cool, we heard him whisper, "coooooool" when he woke up. We gave her a few messages on those balloons, all of which are completely true.
Funny how 7 1/2 years ago I sat at Fetal Photo waiting for the technician to tell me if my baby was a boy or a girl. After having a couple of boys, I was desperately needing
a pink baby. I remember crying when she showed me the 'three lines' and then still doubting the possibility that I would have someone to share so many girl moments with. It wasn't until she was actually here and it was confirmed she really was all girl! In the hospital I remember not sleeping (which never happens when I have a baby anyway) and just staring at her perfect face and then trying on bow after bow and hat after hat and combing her hair different ways with a little lotion. She was so precious to me that day and 7 drama filled years later she absolutely still is! She is a gift and I am lucky to have all the drama that goes along with her. I have shared many girl moments with her already. We have gotten her ears pierced, which I decided I wouldn't do until she asked. Well she asked when she was 5, and they lasted about 2 months. We have cooked together and shopped together. We have sang into our brushes and danced all over the kitchen floor. We have seen 'Annie' live (a dream from my childhood), watched The Nutcracker at Christmas time, and have seen Cinderella together at Disney World. (she was only 18 months but it totally still counts) I have screamed and yelled and she has slammed the door. We have painted each others finger nails and gotten pedicures together. We have twirled in dresses and told each other secrets. I am the luckiest mom because she is mine.

The boys took care of their sister. From hand sewn pajama bottoms from Alec (yes he took sewing), to a 'webkinz' horse from Lukie, and finally a signed hat that says Happy Birthday and signed Kyle Korver from Carter. She's lucky to have those three watch over her and completely love her.

For her magic moment she got to go to Young Chef's Academy and make some homemade pasta, chicken noodle soup and bread in a bag. She wants to be a teacher or a chef when she grows up so this was a pretty good day! I'd have to say, her and Brynley did a fabulous job!

We all call her sassy sissy and as you can see her singing into her ice-cream sandwich she shows us some of that. People always tell me how shy she is, but become a regular in her eyes and you will see how much comedy she is! She'll surprise you with her quick little jokes. One of the best things about her is how much she really loves others. She is always looking for ways to make everyone around her happy. Plus, she is one fine artist.
She's too shy to perform in front of a camera, but get the hidden camera out and she'll go to town...so will the husband! Hurry and look because he may make me take this off!
Love you sis!

What a sweet girl! I am so excited to experience so many of the girly growing up things with my own daughter.
My favorite pregnancy was when you and I were both pregnant with Savvy and Morgan - the perfect timing! I can't believe she is so big and that so much time has passed! Happy 7th Savvy - you're beautiful inside and out.
Oh, and as for the video, I watched it twice just in case it 'disappears'. And my favorite part was the beginning where Jer is dancing but also turning off lights...only Jer would have to be getting stuff done while Eye of the Tiger is on.
Oh please let that stay up for a looonnnng time. We won't say anything to Jerm, of course. WOW! I had to watch twice because there were too many tears the first time. Plus, I had to show Am and Dan!
What a sweet little girl you have. Whether they're 7 or 17, doing 'girl' things with your baby is the best. Now I get to start over with the young stuff. Love you guys! And LOVE the family dance off!
Seriously?!?! That is the
funnuiest thing ever! Let me say that as the youngest I have seen Jeremy do ALOT of wierd things, but they are always funny.
Also, Savvy is wonderful, and we love her(we love all your kids!)Thanks for making me laugh!
Girl power! I remember those 7 1/2 years ago and I also remember the months right after she was born and how done up she was. You were so excited for a girl. She is so cute. Nancy and I have all the girls and can't get them all done up the way you do.
omg, i have sooo much to say! But first of all, happy birthday Savy! Holy moly, wasn't I just driving you to Alta View because you thought you were in labor?? Remember we were at Pres. Hinckley's bday at the conference center and we left early?!?! Where does the time go? and Savy is sooooooooo beautiful, she always has been. Her blue eyes are amazing!!!! ( i do have 3 boys she could pick from!)
and I loved loved loved watching the clip of Jer and Sav dancing....Seriously so cute!!!!!!
You guys are the BEST parents ever..... I loved that post!!!
Tell Savy, Happy Birthday! (and thx for today!) love you.
Hey Robyn--
It's Kim Fairbanks! I just have to tell you that was the sweetest post about Savvy--you are such a fun mom! I also have to say that I laughed SO hard when watching that video--they both rocked the house with that one. Hidden cameras are the BEST! Email me at fairbankskim@hotmail.com so I can send you an invite to my blog.
Happy Birthday Savvy! You are an awesome dancer!
Rob, your birthday party idea was fabulous! Sky thinks he might like his own cooking show one day so we'll have to check it out!
That little girl has some serious moves! You are very lucky to have each other.
I can totally relate to not sleeping in the hospital and just staring at my baby girl! I am so excited to finally have a girl, drama and all! Savvy is a cutie!
I just peed at least twice. I think maybe you could make money on that it if finds its way to You Tube. . .instant celebrities! I am pretty sure I saw the robot and the motorcyle moves. I know she must get them from her father. My favorite is Jer trying to hold back from dancing when he was behind the couch, I guess the temptation was too much! I LOVED it!
She is so adorable and you are he best mom ever! Can I bring Olivia over to get her hair done when she gets older, heehee.
That video is the greatest, I can't wait to show Woody.
Love ya, Jamie
All of this stuff is great and it's nice to read all of these great thoughts and impressions, which I agree with but where is the MUSIC.....
We will be ready for Jer's talents at the reunion this year. He'll have to compete against Tate and Keeton.
Go Jer!!!
